eCentral steps up for vaccination
Tue 29 Jun 2021
With the ongoing threat of the Covid-19 pandemic still very real despite it being 15 months in, the team at eCentral have stepped up and are now fully or partially vaccinated.
It has not been easy as at the time of writing, the staff of eCentral have been barely able to access the vaccination process due to being too young to be included and / or at the whim of vaccine availability... and we are not just talking about Australia.
A key member of the tech team, Marie-Line, works for us from British Columbia, CA where she jumped on board with the recent flood of supply finally making it's way to the country. Canada has vaccinated at an incredible rate with more than 60% of the population now having had a first dose.
Meanwhile, in Australia, early-twenties Corey spotted a Sunday opening in the bookings here in Brisbane and rolled up his sleeve for the first shot of Pfizer - nice work, Corey.
Business owner and Managing Director John Nayler has taken it one step further. Not only was he among the first in his age group to get vaccinated without being in a special access group, but he has also enrolled as part of the Queensland Volunteer Army and is currently helping out at the Rocklea Community Vaccination Hub. John related, "Thus far we have been told to stay home and not touch anything for the cause, so it's wonderful to be able to now actively be part of the enormous task of vaccinating the population. What's more, it's been an incredible insight to see the compassion and hard work of the Queensland Health team in operation. Each of the people I have worked with is incredibly dedicated."
One day soon Covid-19 will be as common as influenza. Vaccination is how we stay well and protect others. eCentral advocates vaccination against Covid-19.
