Brisbane Search Engine Optimisation tips for 2016

Wed 17 Feb 2016

As a search engine and e-marketing engineer for 18 years I always get a laugh at telemarketer phone calls from foreign shores offering "Search Engine Optimisation" services. The irony that they have to CALL to offer you Search Engine success - If they were so good at what they do, why do they have to call anyone? :-)

Furthermore, they fall short of offering a long list of necessities required for real search engine success.

Years of experience has shown me that real emarketing success that is built around Search Engine Optimisation requires:

- In person consultation with the client to get a real understanding of their business and what they do
- A detailed interaction with clients to identify the very very most important key phrases
- Web site upkeep and freshness of content to keep Search Engines entertained
- Dedication to the client so you uncover which techniques will should be employed as a priority.
- A willingness to respond to client changes
- An ability to explain the complexity of eMarketing in terms that the client can manager and base decisions.
- Regular self-examination, careful tracking, reporting and dialogue with clients ongoing.

Only by these means can a sustained result be achieved toward the client's business outcome.

It starts with placement and ends with a net profit for the company, so therefore, the reverse applies. Reverse engineering the net profit until the route is found to the emarketing focus.

For me, 2015 was re-focus on providing emarketing service to clients. The results have been encouraging and pinpoint perfect. Tried and true techniques combined with the best new ideas and opportunities to arrive at, or above the desired result.

Here are some ideas on winning strategies that have been engaged recently.

Google Business listings
Almost always overlooked, this is one of the biggest opportunities for a business to get ranked, on a map WITH a top rating. A number of my clients AND home grown projects have harnessed Google business listings, channeled ONLY the best reviews and climbed to great search positions on the map with a superior rating. A number of techniques are used along the way to get the attention of new clients and search engines.

Keyword match domains
A long term client has a suite of single page websites using "perfect match" domains... despite the age of the sites and the lack of attention, the sites continue to be at the top of search relevant results. This is just one of the suburb + business techniques we are applying for him. The positive results are there to be seen in the stats, the phone calls and the new business.

Mobile / responsive web sites
With a resistance to learning responsive design and applying it to old clients, there are a number of clients rewarded within weeks of updating to responsive - mobile design. If your web site is not designed to work on mobile or does not you are being penalised.

Power Blogging
Too few of my clients methodically use my 1-2-3-Blog tool that allows, photo selection, title, description of a blog entry inside 2 minutes. From smartphone or desktop my power bloggers are not road-blocked by cumbersome CMS and security checks to get their blogging "chores" done in no-time... and the result - Google loves it!, positioning these clients well up the search results on the desired search phrases.

Each of these techniques has proven a winner for one or more client in recent months and the proof is easy found at the bottom line.

If your business is in need of a boost at the bottom line, then eCentral's expertise in developing and executing emarketing programs is available at a range of price points, based upon monthly commitments or commissions payable for success.
